Acabo de leer una noticia en el blog de Ruben Colomer.
Me parece increible:
Nadie a estas alturas duda ya del poder real de los blogs, pero ¿podeis imaginar que un solo post en un blog fuera capaz de hacer perder varios miles de millones de dólares a una compañía? Pues le sucedió ayer durante unos minutos a Apple.
Poco antes de las 12 de la mañana (hora USA), Engadget publicó un post (que luego rectificó), sobre un gran retraso previsto para los lanzamiento del iPhone y del Leopard, según comentaron en el post, se habían enterado por un mail que les había sido reenviado desde Apple, que decía que el lanzamiento del iPhone se iba a retrasar desde Junio hasta Octubre y el del Leopard se retrasaba de nuevo, esta vez hasta Enero del 2008. Finalmente parece que fue un hoax.
Las acciones de Apple, bajaron de $107.89 a $103.42, más de 4 dólares por acción en solo 6 minutos, según Techcrunch esa bajada significaba una pérdida de 4 mil millones de dólares, y que mucha gente perdiera mucho dinero en muy poco tiempo.
Aunque se van recuperando el valor de las acciones, siguen estando por debajo de cuando se lanzó la noticia en Engadget.
¿Que responsabilidad deberían tener los grandes blogs en estas situaciones? ¿O no deberían tener ninguna?
